Introducing the 2021 Subaru Ascent From Subaru of Wakefield

If you like what Subaru offers and needs three rows of seating, we have something that would be perfect for you. The Subaru Ascent is the largest Subaru that we have, and that's why it has such a broad appeal in Boston, MA. The Ascent is a relatively new addition to our lineup. We're so glad that Subaru decided to make a larger SUV since many of our local customers need more seating than they can find in traditional SUVs and crossovers.

The Ascent has all the advantages that Subarus are known for, such as standard all-wheel drive, driver-assist technologies, and comfortable cabins. This overview will provide you with a better idea of exactly what the Ascent's strengths are.

Safety

All of the Subaru Ascents are equipped with Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive. This type of all-wheel-drive system is ideal for various situations, as it can allow the SUV to respond to changing conditions immediately. You can drive around Belmont, MA, with confidence, knowing that your vehicle will be ready to respond if specific wheels ever lose traction. If so, power will be sent to the wheels that can utilize it the best. This will keep you moving forward safely.

Another reason the Ascent stands out is that it has EyeSight Driver Assist Technology as a standard component. This suite of systems includes pre-collision braking, lane departure warning, and lane centering. Plus, it includes adaptive cruise control, a program that allows the vehicle to adjust its speed to maintain a safe distance from others.

All trims also have automatic high beams and a rear vision camera. Most of the Ascent trims come with blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alerts, which can be helpful since you can't always see what's behind you. To top things off, the higher trims have reverse automatic braking, so you won't accidentally bump into an object when you're backing up in Wakefield.

Interior and Technology

As we said before, the cabin of the Ascent is quite spacious. Total passenger volume is over 150 cubic feet, with there being 38.6 inches of legroom in the middle row and almost 32 inches of legroom in the third row. Depending on who or what you're carrying with you as you drive around Danvers, you can arrange the cabin in a few different ways. When all rear seats are folded down, you'll have 86.5 cubic feet of cargo space.

The Ascent can treat you to a nice ride. Most trims have heated front seats to make things more comfortable when it gets cold in North Reading, MA, and some trims have heated and ventilated front seats that you can use all year. Heated second-row seats are available, as is a heated steering wheel. There is a range of options in terms of the materials you can find in the Ascent's cabin. Seating material starts as cloth and can get upgraded to leather. Higher trims feature woodgrain-patterned accents and Ivory leather.

Technology is a critical factor in why the Ascent is so popular with Boston, MA, customers. You can either have a 6.5-inch or an eight-inch touchscreen, and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are both standard. This makes it easy to connect your phone with your infotainment system, and you'll be able to access contact information quickly, send and receive text messages, find your favorite songs, and more.

A bonus is that HD Radio and SiriusXM Satellite Radio are standard, so you'll have plenty of options when it comes to entertainment. Navigation is available on the 2021 Ascent, and this is important for some people, especially those who like to explore new places. Also available is Wi-Fi hotspot capability, which many drivers and their passengers can appreciate these days.

Subaru Ascent Trim Options

Subaru makes four trims of the Ascent. The base model is pretty impressive for being our most affordable trim, and its competitive starting price brings many people into our dealership. Like the other trims, it runs on a 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine that gives it a good amount of horsepower and torque. The base model comes standard with an eight-passenger seating configuration.

When you move to the next trim, which is the Premium, you have the choice of getting eight seats or seven. If you choose a seven-seat layout, you'll have two captain's chairs in the middle row. The Premium's upgrades include a power-adjustable driver's seat, heated front seats, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel. If you prefer, you can have your Premium come with a moonroof and 20-inch wheels.

Just above the Premium trim is the Limited. Perhaps its most notable enhancement has leather seats. With the Premium, you'll appreciate having USB ports in the second and third rows, a power-adjustable front passenger's seat, heated seats in the second row, and a heated steering wheel. All of these components can add up to a much more refined package near Belmont, MA.

However, if you want to treat yourself to something nice, we recommend the Touring trim. The Touring only comes with seven seats. A number of features are exclusive to this trim, such as ventilated front seats, an auto-dimming rearview mirror that can display the live feed from the rear-vision camera, and a Harman Kardon premium sound system with 14 speakers. Notably, the Touring is the only trim that comes standard with navigation, and it has one more cool feature. It has a 180-degree camera that faces front, giving the driver a good view of what's in front of them.
