There are five different trim levels to choose from when purchasing the 2023 Subaru Ascent (Ascent, Premium, Onyx Edition, Limited, and Touring). Every trim has a 2.4-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that pushes up to 260 horsepower and 277 pound-feet of torque the further you step on the gas.
Every trim also has an all-wheel drivetrain system and helpful performance features that help with stability and terrain adjustability. Hitch a trailer to the back and tow up to 5,000 pounds, depending on the trim you purchase.
Passengers will be sitting in 153.5 cubic feet of passenger space during every trip within the 2023 Subaru Ascent. Travel through Belmont, MA comfortably and fit up to eight passengers within the cabin. Not to mention, you'll have 86.5 cubic feet of maximum cargo space when you fold the rear row.
Front passengers will have 41.3 inches of headroom, 42.2 inches of legroom, and 61.1 inches of shoulder room. Use the STARLINK Multimedia Plus system to stream your favorite multimedia through integrated applications such as Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. You'll have six quality speakers throughout the cabin to listen from and a touchscreen display to toggle through the settings. Some trims may also include a navigation system for a more detailed and accurate drive.

As we said before, the cabin of the Ascent is quite spacious. Total passenger volume is over 150 cubic feet, with there being 38.6 inches of legroom in the middle row and almost 32 inches of legroom in the third row. Depending on who or what you're carrying with you as you drive around Danvers, you can arrange the cabin in a few different ways. When all rear seats are folded down, you'll have 86.5 cubic feet of cargo space.
The Ascent can treat you to a nice ride. Most trims have heated front seats to make things more comfortable when it gets cold in North Reading, MA, and some trims have heated and ventilated front seats that you can use all year. Heated second-row seats are available, as is a heated steering wheel. There is a range of options in terms of the materials you can find in the Ascent's cabin. Subaru makes four trims of the Ascent. The base model is pretty impressive for being our most affordable trim, and its competitive starting price brings many people into our dealership. Like the other trims, it runs on a 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine that gives it a good amount of horsepower and torque. The base model comes standard with an eight-passenger seating configuration.
When you move to the next trim, which is the Premium, you have the choice of getting eight seats or seven. If you choose a seven-seat layout, you'll have two captain's chairs in the middle row. The Premium's upgrades include a power-adjustable driver's seat, heated front seats, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel. If you prefer, you can have your Premium come with a moonroof and 20-inch wheels.
Just above the Premium trim is the Limited. Perhaps its most notable enhancement has leather seats. With the Premium, you'll appreciate having USB ports in the second and third rows, a power-adjustable front passenger's seat, heated seats in the second row, and a heated steering wheel. All of these components can add up to a much more refined package near Belmont, MA.
However, if you want to treat yourself to something nice, we recommend the Touring trim. The Touring only comes with seven seats. A number of features are exclusive to this trim, such as ventilated front seats, an auto-dimming rearview mirror that can display the live feed from the rear-vision camera, and a Harman Kardon premium sound system with 14 speakers. Notably, the Touring is the only trim that comes standard with navigation, and it has one more cool feature. It has a 180-degree camera that faces front, giving the driver a good view of what's in front of them.
